WHAT WE SHOULD FOCUS ON:

• Universal healthcare/single payer
• Healthcare for all…direct action
• Counteract healthcare as a commodity
• Develop a Mission Statement
• Teaching people about what is possible
• Single focus—WE incurred debt enriching the 1%
• Preserve $250K volunteer malpractice ins stipend for retired practitioners @ free clinics
• Must not abandon Affordable Care Act
• Grave injustice to treat people differently
• Single payer for Washington should be our focus
• Change will require rapid action events
• OS needs to broaden focus away from just banks
• A waiver for WA to do it’s own SP thing
• Make a decision to go all out or incrementally
• Socialized medicine
• Uniting all who support healthcare for everyone
• Get corporate control out of our lives
• WHST
• More diversity of ethnicity in our group
• Healthcare as a Human Right
• Identify Systemic Discrimination against poor (no ins, Medicare, Medicaid, no dental, vision, podiatric care)
• Institutional bias created by low physician reimbursement
• Students whose parents have no ins are still uninsured
• Chronically ill able to function with care & treatment; without become a heavy drain on system and are no longer functional
• Red-tape, jurisdictional limitations on care delivery, pages of paperwork
